Little known fact : Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer was created as a commission character and story for the Montgomery Ward Department Stores in the 1930’s for their promotional Christmas book give-a-ways. They got sick of paying royalties for other Christmas materials so they made up their own myth. IE, Rudolph was a cost cutting measure. Gene Autry just rolled over in his grave.
